I grew up in Polesworth, best known for the 4th largest luggage emporium in North Warwickshire. Born in 1969 to mixed Polo team parents, life was not easy for me, with only one chauffeur and one cleaning lady between a family of four!
I found solace in the power of music when my brother allowed me to crank the handle on the family gramophone, whilst I used my other arm to waft him with a large ostrich feather.
I realised the overwhelming power of music when I saw a local kid wearing the same plimsoles as H from Steps (seen the previous night on Top of the Pops). It blew me away that music and pop stars could have such power.
I now live with my wife and two children near Bicester Village which is not really a village due to its lack of local pond and church.
If I had to give one piece of advice after a rich and varied life, it would be to invest in a string vest. The holes create the perfect insulated pockets of heat, far more effective than your standard under-armour type garment.
