Linda’s Folk Box

If you like folk music, be prepared to embrace every kind of folk that you could imagine. I love to explore new music as well as revisiting old favourites. Each week's show is unique - sometimes themed, sometimes a kaleidoscope of folkiness! With interviews from local club organisers to folk glitterati you are guaranteed top notch folk entertainment.

I’m essentially a singer songwriter, proudly Welsh yet exceedingly British! Whilst my roots are firmly in the Welsh valleys I now live among the green fields of England.

Writing songs which touch all of us, I play and compose on a variety of instruments including guitar, cittern, mandolin, mandola, Portuguese guitar, bodhran, vihuela and dulcimer. I have recorded five original albums – all receiving local and national airplay and many nice words along the way.

Whilst not always in the spotlight, I have played at clubs and festivals across the country and opened for many first class folk and acoustic acts including: Mike Silver, Clive Gregson, Dave Swarbrick & Martin Carthy, Martin Simpson, Eric Andersen, Hayseed Dixie Band, Josh Ritter, Rod Clements, PJ Wright & Dave Pegg, Ric Sanders & Vo Fletcher, Steve Tilston, Chris Leslie and more. I have even played the acoustic stage at Cambridge Rock Festival!

As I have met and enjoyed listening to a huge number of folk artists along the way and my musical influences stretch back to when I was a little girl, 3Bs gives me the chance to share much of this with you all!
