Steve Vaughans American Highway
Steve Vaughan presents a show dedicated to the best of American Rock, Blues, Country/Country Rock and Americana.
His love of American music began as a 12-year-old growing up in the West Midlands and listening to his local commercial radio station.
Every Saturday the station featured the US Billboard 100 chart show. Steve therefore grew up on a musical diet of The Eagles, Boston, Jackson Browne, Billy Joel and more…
From 2000 to 2003 Steve lived in the US – initially on Long Island, and then moving near ‘the’ Allentown, PA (as in the Billy Joel song!).
He travelled extensively as a Sales Director, listening to FM radio rock stations whenever possible.
In 2019 Steve made a musical pilgrimage – a week’s road trip from New Orleans to Clarksdale MS, Memphis, Nashville and Muscle Shoals.
Despite his guitar hero namesake (he is Stevie “A” Vaughan!) he can’t play the guitar. Sadly.
