Our Kind of Music with Mike Moyse

Did you go to the cinema with your friends on a Saturday morning to watch the cartoons and the Buck Rogers serial? Did you listen to pirate stations like Radio North Sea International, Radio Caroline or Radio London (The Big L) with a transistor radio under your pillow so your parents didn’t think you were still awake? Then this is the show for you! Packed full of the music of the 1960s with […]

Mike is no stranger to the world of music – as a teenager he was playing guitar and was a founder member of the long running Norfolk based tribute band, ‘The Yarebeats’ who in turn played support for many of the big names of the 60s.

Their version of The Four Pennies’ “Juliet” won them high praise from Marty Wilde who thought it was the best live version he had ever heard!

Mike retired from music in 1982 but was tempted back by the folk world, playing alongside fellow 3Bs radio presenter & singer songwriter Linda Watkins for some years.

As a member of several bands including the professional band, The Rewinders which includes ex members of Edison Lighthouse, Union Gap and The Berries, Mike’s life is full of music!

It is only fitting that his show will cover 60s and a little 50s and 70s too!
